Cinco de Meiyou
Just realized it's Cinco de Mayo. Funny how if I were in China I would no doubt celebrate this holiday that isn't mine with some ridiculous party that required cheese from Wuhan, homemade sour cream, a scary trip to a meat market, and mourning for guacamole. We never hesitated to celebrate everything there even though nothing was convenient. I miss that.

I like your clever title, Amy! And it's very applicable to my Cinco de Mayo day too. I was absolutely positive that I had a box of instant Mexican Rice somewhere in my cupboard and had big plans for making a quick fiesta before Chinese class tonight but alas, no Mexican rice was to be found. :( Nothing else sounded good after that so I ended up just making chocolate chip muffins from a mix and some scrambled eggs.
Let's celebrate next year together, hao bu hao?
Haha you better believe I made mexican food with cheese from Wuhan! Oh how I love celebrating pointless holidays around here. Miss you!
