A Me Day or Amy Day

I know. I haven't blogged in a while. A long while. To be honest, not much is blog worthy other than my innermost thoughts, and well, for the majority of you, it's none of your business. :) I have been writing more, almost daily, just not for my public audience, for my eyes only. Something feels good about ink on paper these days.

Anyway, I've been fairly antisocial as of late, so today I decided to have a day all about me where I was socially anti-social. Yes, I was out and about, among other people, but I did it all by myself, and it was quite awesome.

A Day of Indulgences...
Yes, it's Saturday, but I woke up before 7. Made myself breakfast and then decided to indulge myself at Starbucks. I journaled for a while and talked to Erin on the phone. Then I went to Lifeway and indulged in a Christy Nockels CD, a study guide, and a book I've been wanting for several months. I then hopped over to the library to indulge in free books and free CDs. I then indulged in one of my favorite places, Baja Fresh, which most of my friends seem to dislike for some reason. It was gooood. After lunch, I indulged in a real hair cut for a real price (including shampoo and styling), but I'm quite satisfied with it. Then I indulged in a chick flick at the movie theater where I even bought Raisinettes. And now here I am, indulging in the awesome smell of salonified hair, ready to eat a frozen pizza and watch West Wing. And I'm pretty sure there will be ice cream later.

Insights:
I love getting my hair cut...even if it looks bad in the end, the process is freeing and renewing for me...not to mention anyone playing with my hair is my friend.
I detest skinny jeans on guys.
I was all alone today, but it's been just what I needed. I'm quite good company. ;)
