Dairy Dash Race Stats

The results are in from Saturday's Purity Dairy Dash 5k!
63rd among females in my age group
625th place overall
338th among the ladies
40:45 total time
13:09 pace

Compared to the Rudolf Run in December, I made some progress! Woohoo!
Stats from December:
82nd place among females in my age group
760th place overall :)
408th among the ladies
44:18 total time
14:18 pace

I'm thrilled that I knocked a minute off my mile! Guess that shows that less weight to run with
and moderate training works after all. :)
Don't really plan on another 5k til it gets cold again. I don't run in the heat. :)

Catch Up

I haven't really blogged in forever. I think about something to post, and then don't. Or things seem too boring to blog about. Or I'm just lazy. :)

Anyway, as of late I've been:
Working at the PTS
Not training enough for the 5k I'm running Saturday
Cooking and eating delicious free food
Finishing up my first online class
Applying to a Dietetics program through University of Northern Colorado
Growing things and being amazed at the simplicity of it. Plant. Water. Grow. Wow!
Using frequent flyer miles for amazing, cheap trips to see Erin!
*Participating in Lent, and appreciating more than ever, the glory of Easter!

*Mini blog about Easter...
Easter might be my new favorite holiday! Going through the 40+ days of Lent, participating in Passion Week activities at Christ Cathedral, and then experiencing the trumpet-sounding (literally) goodness of an Episcopal Easter service has really been one of the most meaningful Spiritual seasons for me. The anticipation that I wanted to feel so badly for Christmas during Advent was fully realized this Easter. I woke up really excited Easter morning. It's Easter! He's risen! Hallelujah! I went out early to buy an Easter lily. I just felt like I had to have one to complete my Easter experience. It was a beautiful day at the Stockell house. Brad and I enjoyed the sweets we'd missed for Lent, went to church, planted in the garden...It was amazing.
